Aim of this Workshop
The aim of this workshop is to offer an exchange forum to discuss applications of Optimal Transport (OT) to large scale data analysis, from theoretical, methodological and numerical points of view.
To achieve this, the workshop's program includes tutorial presentations, research talks by eminent researchers in the field and contributed presentations. We expect additional insights to be exchanged during the panel discussion.
Audience members not familiar with OT will be introduced to a versatile set of ideas and tools which might solve some of the problems they are confronted to when dealing with probability measures (e.g. datasets, histogram-of-features representations of data, clustering).
For audience members familiar with OT, this workshop will provide a unique opportunity to share and learn from recent progress in the field across the different areas of OT (algebraic, combinatorial, geometric, statistical, PDE and optimization).
