Format

We are now finalizing the schedule and deciding the course content of each speaker.

Each day of the summer school will consist in approximately 6.5 hours of lectures, distributed between 8:30 and 17:30. These lectures will be followed in the evening by a short lecture or a talk, a poster session or a social event.

Summer school prepares two types of lectures.

Long Lectures

5 hours long and split into 3 sessions of 100 minutes each.


Short Lectures and Talks

shorter presentations of 60 to 100 minutes.


All presentations will be given in English.

Scope

Our aim in combining both long lectures and short talks is to provide a comprehensive overview of both the theoretical aspects and the applied challenges covered by machine learning, from statistical learning theory and convex optimization to applications in computer vision, natural language processing, bioinformatics and neuroscience.
