We strongly advise applicants to read the FAQ section to learn more about the summer school before proceeding with their application.
Items needed to apply:
- Personal information
- Affiliation information
- Academic background and description of research interests
- Tentative poster title/abstract (optional)
- Registration and accommodation preferences
- Contact information for Letter of Recommendation, only for students
- Application for financial support (optional), only for students
The application deadline has passed.
We have sent acceptance/rejection notifications on May 8th.

Registration Fee
The registration fee to attend the summer school is:
- Students
- 40,000 JPY - 2 weeks
- Academics (including post-doctoral researchers)
- 70,000 JPY - 2 weeks
- 50,000 JPY - 1 week
- Professionals
- 90,000 JPY - 2 Weeks
- 70,000 JPY - 1 Week
- 50,000 JPY - 3 days (social events not included)
- 25,000 JPY - 1 day (social events not included)
The registration fee covers the attendance to lectures, light snacks served during coffee breaks and social events (except when mentioned otherwise for professional attendees).
The fee does not cover accommodation nor regular meals.
Note that applicants who will be accepted to the summer school will be asked to pay these fees within 2 weeks of receiving their acceptance notification. We will only be able to accept credit card payments, and will provide more details on the payment method by early May.

Scholarships and Travel Grants
